FAQ

GSM Fusion – Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. What is SIM unlocking?

SIM unlocking is the process of removing the network restrictions placed on your mobile device by the original carrier. Once unlocked, your phone can be used with compatible SIM cards from other carriers worldwide.

2. Is SIM unlocking legal?

Yes. In the United States, unlocking your phone is legal under the Unlocking Consumer Choice and Wireless Competition Act.
However, it is your responsibility to ensure that unlocking is permitted in your country and that you follow your carrier’s contract terms.

3. How does the service work?

  • You provide your device IMEI (dial *#06# to display it).
  • We process your order through our suppliers.
  • We send you the unlock code, remote unlock, or software instructions via email.
  • You follow the provided steps to unlock your device.

4. How long does unlocking take?

Turnaround times vary by carrier and device model. Many unlocks are completed within minutes or hours, while some may take a few days depending on supplier availability.
We always provide the average expected time, but this is an estimate — not a guarantee.

5. Can I cancel my order?

Yes — but only if your order has not yet entered processing. Once we’ve started working with suppliers, it cannot be cancelled. Please review our [Refund & Cancellation Policy] before placing an order.

6. When do I qualify for a refund?

We offer a 100% Money Back Guarantee if:

  • We cannot provide a valid unlock solution.
  • The code/method does not work, provided you supply the required video proof as instructed.

Refunds are not issued if:

  • Incorrect IMEI, device, or carrier details were submitted.
  • Device is already unlocked, hardlocked (0 attempts left), blacklisted, or reported stolen.
  • Device is incompatible with your intended carrier after unlocking.
  • Unlock was delivered successfully but you chose not to use it.

7. What does “hardlocked” mean?

A phone becomes hardlocked when all unlock code attempts have been used up. In this case, no unlock code will work, and refunds are not available.

8. Will unlocking damage my phone?

No. Our methods are 100% safe when used correctly. But if a customer uses their device improperly, GSM Fusion is not responsible for any damage caused.

9. Does unlocking remove blacklisting?

No. If your device is blacklisted, lost, or reported stolen, unlocking does not remove these restrictions. The phone will remain unusable on many networks.

10. How do I know if my phone is compatible with another carrier?

Compatibility depends on hardware (bands/frequencies) and network technology (GSM, CDMA, LTE, 5G). It is Your responsibility to confirm that the device will work with the new carrier before unlocking.

11. What if I entered the wrong IMEI?

If the wrong IMEI was provided, the unlock will not work, and no refund will be issued. Please double-check before ordering by dialing *#06# on your device.
